He played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1979 to 1991 and again in 1996. At 6 feet 9 inches tall, Magic revolutionized the point guard position.
He was known for his playmaking ability, court vision, versatility and basketball IQ.
During his career, Earvin Johnson won five NBA championships with the Lakers in 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, and 1988. He was also a three-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1987, 1989, and 1990 and a three-time NBA Finals MVP.
