Geno Auriemma is a legendary basketball coach known for his incredible success in coaching women's basketball. He has been the head coach of the University of Connecticut (UConn) women's basketball team since 1985.

Auriemma has achieved an unparalleled amount of winning and success throughout his career at UConn, having won over 1,100 games and counting.

Under Auriemma, the UConn Huskies have gone to 22 Final Four's in the NCAA Tournament and won a record 11 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championships. This is the most championships won by any coach in women's college basketball history.

From 2008 to 2010, Auriemma's UConn Huskies set a new NCAA record by winning 90 consecutive games. This surpassed the previous record of 88 consecutive wins, also held by UConn.
